6 Incredibly Affordable Fall Cardigan Options from Amazon!
I like a good deal! Even more so, I love finding something on Amazon that is almost exactly the same as something I would have spent twice the money on! Here’s the thing: There’s a lot of REALLY good stuff on Amazon - you just have to be prepared to dig a little. It’s like going to a thrift store (also one of my favorite things)!
There’s a couple key rules that I use when I order anything clothing-related on Amazon, so let’s start this off by chatting about those! Also keep in mind, this doesn’t mean that you can’t use other ways to shop on Amazon. These are just options that have worked for me. If I’m showing it to you on here, it’s something that I like and I trust it by giving a recommendation. PSA: This also doesn’t mean that I’m a master of the internet. These are just things that I’ve found that I really like!
I only shop Amazon Prime & I don’t read reviews. I’ve found these two things to be the most useful tools when it comes to buying things online and, as a buyer, helps safeguard me against poor quality. I’ll be updating the blog soon with the reasoning soon, so check back!
So, let’s talk about some really good options that I found that fit the bill of best fall cardigans!
(For reference, I’m 5’3” and 125lb! All my try-on videos are saved on my Instagram profile @swiftwellness under the highlights if you want to see all my Amazon hauls live with links!)
I love me some good Free People sweaters. And this was definitely giving me all the Free people feels (like this Nightingale Cardi) but, without the Free People pricetag. Now, don’t get me wrong. I love FP, but sometimes I wonder who they gave their sticker gun to. Their cardigans/sweaters are consistently over $100 each, and this dupe from Amazon is only $27! I could have all four colors for the same price as one from Free People. Super thick, chunky knit cardigan that is perfectly for lounging around or grabbing coffee and shopping. I’m definitely getting some Harry Potter vibes from this and that makes me love it even more! It fits true to size (TTS) and I’m wearing a size small.
Heaven. On. Earth. I just want to live in cardigans like this all fall long. Again, this is another dupe from a Free People sweater coat from a few years ago (or this one from Prana), but this sweater coat on Amazon is only $36. I love that the lapel folds over and acts almost like a scarf. It definitely has an oversized fit like the model and I got a size small. I would say that it runs TTS if you want the baggier fit. The sleeves on this cardigan are definitely a bit shorter on me than pictured on the model, but I don’t find them too short, especially since this is a great cardigan if you’re layering with something underneath.
This Amazon dupe is $13!!! It’s a variation of this cardigan from Goodnight Macaroon ($69!). I love the flowy fit of this cardigan so much. It also comes in a variety of other colors and patterns (some are a bit more boho-inspired). I will say that this material is more of a silky cotton, something akin to a really soft Dri-Fit running tee. I don’t mind that, personally, and for $12, I don’t think that you can go wrong. It’s a bit more form-fitting than some of the cardigans that I’ve posted above, but it runs TTS and I’m wearing a size small.
So of all the cardigans in this haul, this one is easily my favorite ones. I love the open front flowy “kimono” style of the cardigan. It’s also very thin, so it’s great for a fall transition piece while it’s still hot in Austin, or it’s even summer appropriate. The sleeves are 3/4 length, so they come just below my elbow. It’s a really light, casual bohemian inspired cardigan that I could see as being perfect for a festival piece with shorts, a floppy hat and sandals. And the best part is that it’s $22! It’s definitely one of the highest quality cardigans that I’ve gotten on Amazon! I’m wearing a small and it runs TTS.
This Amazon find is a dupe of the uber-popular BP cardigan from the Nordstrom sale. I have that one as well, and I really like it, but this is a great alternative. I love the cocoon fit of this cardigan and, even better, it comes in a bunch of colors. I got it in the peachy-pink color listed above and as you can see, it’s slightly more peach in my picture than pink (as shown on Amazon). It’s a super soft, thicker sweater material, almost like a really soft sweatshirt. The cocoon fit scoops perfectly underneath my hips and it’s tighter in the arms (and doesn’t stretch out quite as much!) as the BP cardigan alternative. The only thing that I wish it had was pockets! It is sorely missing pockets in the front, but for $32, it’s such an affordable alternative. I’m wearing size small and it fits TTS.
So every girl likes a staple cardigan. And that’s exactly what this cardigan from Amazon is. It’s $34 and comes in 10 different colors! It definitely does not run large like the model picture shows. If you’re looking for a slouchier fit like the model, I would recommend sizing up at least one size. I got my normal size (small), so I would say this cardigan runs small. It’s a thinner, slightly stiffer cotton/polyester blend cardigan, so it’s not overly heavy. It’s very reminiscent of some of my Madewell cardigans from a few seasons ago. Because of the style fabric that it is, it might be considered slightly scratchier, but I don’t think that necessary deters from the cardigan at all. I love the khaki color and the pockets make it a great boyfriend cardigan.
I’ll be adding more to my Amazon hauls posts in the upcoming days, so stay tuned for more on the blog and on my Instagram story highlights!
