Brownie Batter Paleo Smoothie

So fun fact. I don't eat chocolate. Say whaaaaattt? Yeah, I know. But, you know what, mama likes what mama likes - and that most definitely isn't a candy bar from the checkout aisle. But, fine. Sometimes I cave and want something sweet. But that doesn't mean that I want to create a smoothie that has the sugar equivalent of diabeetus. Whatever that means. I also don't need to deal with the sugar crash as I come rocketing out of the atmosphere at 3pm on a Tuesday afternoon, either. So, with all those things being equal, I decided to combine a bunch of my favorite foods together to create a seriously thick, not-too-sweet, take on brownie batter. Because we all know you licked the spoon when you were a kid. Which reminds me...I miss those days. The days when you could lick the batter-coated spoon with uncooked eggs and not die a death of salmonella poisoning (or at least fear of it)! Live dangerously, my friends.
BROWNIE BATTER PALEO SMOOTHIE
1/4 cup coconut milk
2 scoops Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides
2 oz avocado (Half of a 1/2 avocado if you don't have a food scale)
1/2 cup frozen cauliflower
2 tablespoons cacao powder
5 dates (or local honey for sweetness)
Pour into glass and top with your choice of toppings.
