Comfy Casuals from Amazon
Welcome back to a cult favorite on the blog! Amazon Prime finds! I feel like I’ve been doing this for a little while, but I see that it’s starting to catch on to the blogger masses, so sometimes things are getting a bit sold out! Crap. But, I will say, I had to do a bit more of a thorough vetting this time around. Some of the things that I got … wow, were just so bad! But, I guess that’s what I’m here for, right?
Comfy casuals are one of my favorite things since I’m pretty much in comfy basics or I’m in athleisure. I’m also not much of a fashion blogger if you can tell. I already did my post for the masses (Lululemon dupes are posted below) and yes, you need those leggings. I’m wearing them as I’m writing this post and they’re still amazing. But, this time around, I found some basic tees and joggers that are just right up my alley! And yes, the Amazon posts are a break from your normally scheduled health & wellness posts, but I fully believe that a healthy lifestyle is so much more than working out…so if looking cute motivates you, girl you go on ahead!
Also, as always, if you’re looking for anything from Amazon and want to see what it looks like in real time, you can check out my Instagram story highlights - I have saved anything I’ve ever gotten from Amazon there (and there’s also swipe up links, but it’s probably easier to get to from this blog). All the item details are linked underneath all the pictures below and in the roundup at the very end!
Previous Amazon posts:
Let’s first talk about these cozy joggers. They come in three different colors (I’m wearing the heathered space dye) and they’re the softest and nicest pair of sweats that I got this round from Amazon (and I ordered a bunch). Okay and probably ever. I’m wearing an XS and I feel that the joggers run true to size (TTS), but they do have a bit of a higher waist. I just roll the waistband down a bit and I think they are perfect. Personally, I just like to run errands in these, but they’re incredibly easy to mix and match for a more put together look. Bonus, these joggers are $29! I paired these with my Free People denim jacket, but other than that, this whole casual look is from Amazon!
Since we’re talking about this entire look…everyone needs one wardrobe staple and that’s a basic v-neck tee. My issue with tee shirts is usually that they a) wrinkle, b) shrink, or c) are too tight/too loose in various areas. I love this tee for a few of the previously mentioned reasons because it’s soft, silky and while it does wrinkle (a bit!), it avoids most of the annoyingness that cotton tees have. It also has a great V-neck without being too low. I ordered a small and that seems to fit TTS, but I also like that it’s slightly flowy on me. If you want it tighter, I would size down. And, have I mentioned, it’s $15 and comes in a thousand colors??! Also, I’ve definitely ordered from the website SheIn before and, while they have some good things, it’s very hit or miss and their return policy is questionable. So, Amazon Prime for the win. If you don’t like it, you can ship it back easily and not have to worry about a so-so return policy. I think SheIn has great things (think Forever21 for a lot of things) but I’m not a big fan of their return policies. So, get it on Amazon.
While these might not be as budget friendly as the rest of the look, they’re far and away my favorite part. These Dr. Scholl’s Abbott Sneakers are ridiculously comfortable slip-ons. So, yes, I know what you’re thinking. Wtf, Dr. Scholl’s? Yes. There is LITERALLY no reason to pay $225 for the Vince sneakers when these are the same and less than half the cost. And, let’s be honest, Dr. Scholl’s are kind of known for comfy footwear! I wore them on the plane yesterday to California and walked around all day in them. NO BLISTERS. The slightly padded heel is the answer. Praise. I am wearing a size 7 (probably could have sized up to a 7.5) and I think the fit is TTS. In these slip-on style shoes, my narrow feet usually have issues, but the fit is snug. And, they look and feel so much nicer than they cost! Win!
Another look that I love is this thermal knit long sleeve. When I first pulled it out of the bag, my initial impression was “Oh wow, that’s kind of big.” But then when I put it on, I really liked how the thermal was loose and it fell and hung off the shoulder in all the right places. The buttons on the thermal are real, it’s super soft and relaxed. I got a size small and it definitely has an oversized fit. One thing to note, too, is that I got the beige color and it’s more of a peachy neutral. I actually really like it, but if you’re looking for a true beige neutral, this won’t be it.
Another thing that I got from this Amazon haul and something I’ve been wanting for awhile, are these tortoise shell sunglasses. They’re very similar to a pair of Gucci sunglasses that are insanely expensive (or you know, outside my budget). My issue usually with cheap sunglasses is, well, they’re cheap. They feel cheap. They break cheaply. These are actually surprisingly nice and if I didn’t tell you how much they cost, you’d probably think a lot more. And, bonus, if you like the Gucci ones, these come in black and are verryyyyy similar.
The last thing that I got from this Amazon haul was this amazingly soft sherpa hoodie! I know that Sherpas aren’t always everyone’s favorite thing, but if you’re looking for something to sit and snuggle in on a cold day, this is it! It has a great hood, a loose but not oversized fit (I’m wearing a small), and the fabric, again, is so so nice. Think like… soft polar bear. I love when I get something from Amazon and the quality exceeds what I was expecting. The hoodie (plus the joggers) were the first thing that I put on when I got everything and I pretty much wore it for two days straight.
