Sephora Sale: Save & Splurge Must-Haves Skincare

Best of Sephora Skincare Holiday Bonus Beauty Insider Event

I can’t believe the month of October is already over! That’s insane! But, what that does mean is that we are getting into the holiday shopping season! Which, of course, is one of my favorite times ever! As we gear up towards the holiday season, I’m sure you’re already starting the age-old question of “What should I get … for Christmas?” Well, in this case, Sephora makes it super easy with their Holiday Bonus Beauty Insider Event, which officially kicked off on November 2 for those of us that are among the Rouge level.

For those of us who are not, let me explain how wonderful this time of year is! Sephora has a few different levels of membership (and if you aren’t a member, you can sign up here!) depending on how much you spend each year.

Sephora Beauty Insider Membership Levels

Rouge: $1000+ (sale starts November 2–5) - save 20%

VIB: $350 (sale starts November 9–12) - save 20% - Use Code - VIBBONUS

BIB: <$350 (sale starts November 16-19) - save 15%

There is no cost to join, so it’s an easy way to stack up points if you don’t already use it. However, during their Holiday Bonus sale, you can save up to 20% on everything in Sephora. So, this is literally the best time to stock up on your favorite expensive skincare and hair products. Since some of the skincare that I use is pricey, I definitely take advantage of getting 20% off right now on my favorites from Drunk Elephant, Sunday Riley, & T3.

If you aren’t at least at the VIB ($350) level, then your sale will officially start just before Thanksgiving. If you take advantage of this sale at least once a year, I find that it’s verrrrrryyyyy easy to be at least the VIB level. I also use this sale as a way to get some great stocking stuffers and gift giving out of the way!

MUST- HAVE SPLURGE $ - drunk elephant

I’ve been raving about Drunk Elephant for some time now. (Read my post about why “Drunk Elephant is my Go-To Skincare Line”) This is my favorite time to stock up on a bunch of their products, especially since they never go on sale. Some of my favorite daily products are: Protini (daily moisturizer), C-Firma (Vitamin C serum), T.L.C. Framboos (nighttime serum), and their Sukari Baby Facial. All of these products, while spendy, last forever. For most, I use one pump a day, so it’s not uncommon for the products to last 3-4 months at a time (if not longer).

Drunk Elephant - “The Littles

If you’re not ready to spend money on the full size Drunk Elephant line, one of my favorite travel size/gift size sets is called “The Littles." These are the perfect size for travel, but also as an all inclusive sampler kit. I got my mom this kit for Christmas last year, so it makes a perfect stocking stuffer!

Another one of my favorite items to stock up on is the Sunday Riley line. This is definitely a bit more pricey than the Drunk Elephant line, but the results are amazing as well. I think that this is a little bit higher end line than DE, so I tend to be a bit more sparing with my use of it. But again, Sunday Riley products never go on sale, so if you’ve been wanting to pull the trigger on some amazing nighttime serums, this would be the time.

I have been using the Sunday Riley Good Genes layered over Luna Nighttime Sleeping Oil. (I talk more about Good Genes in my post: “My Daily Skincare Routine”) Depending on the results you are going for, you would want to choose an either/or scenario with the Good Genes/Luna OR T.L.C Framboos, since one is a retinol serum (Luna) and the other is a AHA/BHA (TLC). In this case more is not always better, since retinol is destroyed by AHA/BHA serums. If you’re out in the sun a lot, as well, you need to be careful with retinol use as it will make you sun sensitive!

Auto Correct is quickly becoming one of my favorite eye creams as it is amazing at de-puffing your under eye area. Definitely a big win for me when I get up early so often!

If you’re unsure if you would like the Good Genes/Luna combo, Sephora makes a sample/travel size combo that makes a perfect gift (to yourself or as a stocking stuffer!). I always use these combos as a way to try out new products and get a feel for them. Plus, again, travel size is my preferred size!

One of the last things that I’ve recently started to use are these two-step Alpha Beta peels from Dr. Dennis Gross. These peels don’t actually make your face peel, but they do wonders in terms of removing dead skin and revealing glowing skin underneath. They’re still a little bit pricey, but you wouldn’t want to use more than one a week, so a 30 pack (and this one comes with a bonus 5!) is going to last you 6 months and give your skin a much needed makeover!

If you’re not looking to spend a ton of money on skincare, or if you’re like me and like to create some super fun stocking stuffers, Sephora offers a variety of masks. One of my favorite affordable mask lines are those from GlamGlow - they have a variety of options for you to try, but I love the charcoal masks. Sephora also has their own line of masks as well, all of which could make some seriously affordable stocking stuffers! As well as a great way to try different masks without committing!
