I travel - a lot - and I'm also on the go. All the time. At this point in my life, I've done everything I can to embrace the busy. So, needless to say, when I'm packing for a trip, I don't have time to take the bulky pill holders with me. Or spend the time organizing pills. Or, really, having to worry about ordering vitamins in bulk, separately, because I can only get 90 of one and 120 of another and they never seem to run out at the same time. I know, these are all first world problems, but seriously, can be so annoying.

We Tried It: Care/Of Vitamins

Changing the way we do vitamins

So, I really love what Care/of has been doing. They provide a customizable vitamin pack based on your needs. It's a subscription service, so you don't want to worry about reordering your vitamins; they simply come to you every month. Getting start is easy, too: you take their online quiz and it assesses your daily needs. Even though I eat a well-rounded diet, I supplement with a few daily vitamins, including: digestive enzymes & probiotic (for gut health), magnesium (heart & immune system), ashwagandha & rhodiola (for stressed adrenals), and astaxanthin (for fatigue and inflammation).

Never heard of some of those? That’s ok! I eat a fairly consistently healthy diet, so I find that I absorb naturally all the vitamins and minerals that I need. That's why I don't take a multi-vitamin. But, after taking the online quiz, you can look at the results and adjust accordingly. (Full disclosure: this author and those at Swift are not medical professionals. Please consult your doctor before taking vitamins and supplements.)

If you're interested in which vitamins Care/of includes in their packs, you can click here. They have a wild variety of vitamins, ranging from daily multis to prenatal.

If you decide you want to include a suggested vitamin, Care/of provides suggested dosing and pricing for how much each vitamin costs per month. If you don't want something that was suggested, you can just take it out. The same goes for future vitamin subscriptions. You can modify your next month's pack at any time if you find that something isn't working for you or you'd like to add additional vitamins.

Sustainable packaging

Each month's supply of vitamins comes in its own pack dispenser, making it super easy to grab individual packs. Each pack is individually wrapped and labeled with a cool quote, completely personalized to you. Even better, when it's time to travel, I just count out the packs I need and throw them into my bag. I know what you’re thinking - that’s a lot of daily use waste. But Care/of recently switched their vitamin packs to a line of compostable materials, meaning it is convenient and sustainable.

Tweak your subscription as needed

If you ever need to cancel your subscription or modify the delivery dates, it's easy, too! I've had to delay my monthly subscription by a week sometimes when I get ahead and find myself with extra vitamins. It's super easy! You can also make changes or modifications to your vitamin pack at any point before the next month's delivery. I love how flexible everything is from a subscription service. It means that I'm never getting something that I don't need to or locked into a contract.

How much does it COST?

I find that the cost of the vitamins per month is only slightly more than buying in bulk on Amazon or from a supplement company (maybe $1-2 per 30 capsules) but the ease of being able to travel without bulky containers is one of our favorite things and something that completely justifies the cost.
