Weekly Amazon Finds
Can you tell that I’ve had travel on my mind? As I’ve been gearing up for my European adventure in a few weeks, I’ve been doing my best to a) save money and b) find some items that don’t break the bank for my trip! I’m no stranger to packing light on a trip, but I wanted to make sure that everything I was taking had multiple purposes. I don’t want to be carrying a huge suitcase all throughout Europe!
I’ve been looking for a multi-purpose organizer for traveling. I currently use a small wallet that only fits 2 cards, but I really wanted something that I could use that would keep all my documents and items in one place. This wallet fits the bill and has plenty of room to spare. It’s about the size of my Kindle, so it fits neatly and nicely in my bag, while still being big enough that I can reach in and grab it without having to dig around.
This falls under my list of “Ways I’m Trying to Save Money for Europe.” And I’ve been wanting to try the Beauty Blenders since I’ve seen some bloggers and make up artists using them for coverage. I’m going to admit - I’m pretty old school and I use my fingers. (I know, I know!) But, one of the reasons that I haven’t taken the leap into the Beauty Blender realm is that I had an issue with paying $16 for 1 blending sponge. These sponges from Amazon feel just like the original one at Sephora and you get 5 for the less than the price of one (and under $10). So, yes, sign me up.
Also on the list of things that I needed to upgrade but was waiting on, were some new makeup brushes! Again, I don’t wear a ton of makeup. I spend most of my days running, sweating, and working out, so I keep it fairly simple. But, I still use your basic brushes and wanted to save a little money on a new set of brushes. And, let’s be honest, I’m enough of a novice I have no business buying a high end set of brushes. These brushes are soft, synthetic, and so much more affordable than most of the brush sets that I’ve seen. It’s a great starter set since it covers all the bases of brushes you might want or need. Don’t let the price fool you! They are sooooo soft.
One of my clients is a big SNS goer and got me addicted to going as well. I bite my nails wayyyyy too much to not have something on my nails at all times. So, needless to say, I’ve started going to the salon every 3 weeks or so and getting my nails done. I just want to preface this with this kit is pretty darn great if you’re good at doing your own nails. I definitely have friends who are! I’m not exactly skilled with it. But, they come out pretty darn good and the cost of this kit is less than one time to the salon! The only catch is that it doesn’t come with a top coat, so you might want to get a clear coat for nails to layer over, but this kit is a great option if you’re looking to do it at home.
In my search for organization for my upcoming travel, I knew that I needed something that would keep all my jewelry organized while flying. I have a bad habit of throwing it all into a small jewelry box and then everything ends up a knotted mess. This is such an awesome organizer and it’s a vegan leather roll that allows it to wrap all up together without taking up a bunch of space. There are individual compartments for earrings, rings and necklaces, and it lays it out so neat and nice that there won’t be any tangled sadness when you arrive.
It’s going to be winter. In Europe. I need a hat. Need I say more? Grey is the perfect color to match with everything!
I’ve been preaching the softness of these scarves for awhile, but I can’t figure out which color that I like the most! They’re $10 and I find myself going back for another round of colors as I think of what I’m going to bring with me on this trip! Regardless, these scarves are so soft. And, they truly are a “blanket” scarf - they’re huge. I’m fully intending on wearing this scarf to the airport and using it as a blanket on the plane. So warm and cozy and the perfect price point to add a couple to your fall wardrobe.
