The Hating Game
Sally Thorne
Stubborn, set in their ways and spiritually grounded, a Taurus knows what they want and is dedicated to get it. A Taurus is also dependable, loyal and a great listener — making them a great person to have in your life.
“The Hating Game” by Sally Thorne is the perfect book for a Taurus. The plot line revolves around two executive assistants at rival publishing companies, Lucy and Joshua, who are forced to work together when the businesses merge. Their work days are spent antagonizing and hating one another and planning each other’s sabotage when they find out they are up for the same promotion. As the book progresses, Lucy and Joshua are unable to deny their attraction for one another...so you can see where the story might lead. “The Hating Game” is a sexy, witty and fun take on the hater-turned-lover genre, and the stubborn main characters scream Taurus.

Conversations with Friends
Sally Rooney
Geminis are busy bodies that tend to be spontaneous or totally erratic, as well as intelligent and sparked by various curiosities. A lot of Sally Rooney’s characters tend to fit this persona, especially in her novel “Conversations with Friends.”
The novel follows the relationship of Frances and her best friend, Bobbi. Both university students in Dublin, they strike up a friendship with an older photographer and journalist named Melissa. Bobbi is obsessed with the idea of Melissa, while Frances doesn't necessarily understand the appeal, but rather becomes enthralled by Melissa’s husband, Nick. Frances and Nick are drawn into an intoxicating affair.
While “Conversations with Friends” lacks a solid plot line, climax or resolution (the story just sort of dissipates without any closure or real meaning), Rooney pens characters that sometimes aren’t even likable, but you will just find compelling. You want to learn more about them because of their chaotic energy, poor decision making and unreliability — cue the Gemini.

Normal People
Sally Rooney
Highly intuitive and in touch with their emotions, Cancers are loyal and protective of themselves and others. Cancers tend to be extremely passionate and sensitive. “Normal People” by Sally Rooney is a novel that emotional Cancers wouldn’t be able to put down — and they would probably never stop talking about (and for good reason).
Another novel by Rooney set in Ireland, “Normal People” follows the relationship of popular athlete Connell and outsider Marianne — two students with a secret intimacy outside of school that ends in heartbreak.
A year later, their roles are reversed when they’re attending Trinity College, where Marianne is a well-liked socialite and Connell is lonely and trying to find his place. Their circles continue to cross throughout their time at university, and they always find a way back to one another.
While a heartbreaking love story, this novel also explores the topics of social class, depression, loss of a loved one, grief, emotional abuse and more. For highly emotional, passionate and sensitive people like Cancers, this book is sure to tug at the heartstrings.

My Year of Rest and Relaxation
Ottessa Moshfegh
Passionate, somewhat egotistical and natural born leaders, Leos command your presence and own the room. Leos are self-assured and unafraid to stand up for their beliefs, but sometimes need to be brought back to their center. “My Year of Rest and Relaxation” by Ottessa Moshfegh is a provocative and captivating novel that follows the life of the narrator — a young, beautiful, intelligent, wealthy Columbia grad that works at an art gallery and lives in New York’s Upper East Side. Filled with emptiness and struggling with past trauma, the narrator quits her job and decides to just take a year “off” of life in general and alienates herself inside her apartment.
This book has mixed reviews. While a brilliant idea, the main character is seen as egotistical, privileged and dramatic — which Leos sometimes tend to come across as. But it also explores sensitivity and vulnerability, and that even the most confident of people struggle beneath the surface.

Perks of Being a Wallflower
Stephen Chbosky
Virgos are logical and practical in every sense of the word, methodical in their practices and uber-organized (sometimes to a fault). Perfectionists and over thinkers, Virgos tend to get stressed easily and fixate on every detail. “Perks of Being a Wallflower” by Stephen Chbosky follows Charlie — a shy and introverted teen—who observes life, rather than fully participating in it.
A coming of age story about stepping outside of your comfort zone, this book is a must-read for Virgos who may be experiencing big life changes and struggling with breaking free from old habits.

Harry Styles is an Aquarius, and one of his favorite books is “The Course of Love” by Alain de Botton...so it’s a no-brainer that if you’re an Aquarius you should read this book.
But in all seriousness, this book really is perfect for all of the Aquarius out there. This novel explores not only the journey of love, but the lead up to love, what happens after falling in love and how to maintain a relationship despite societal pressures, and the various ups and downs we as humans face.
