Trendy, sustainable, and chic. Those are three words that can describe the ultra-famous online boutique, Reformation. But, let’s be honest, their iconic floral dresses (and all of their other fashionable clothes) can be on the higher end of our budget. However, there are other ways to create that same aesthetic and classic style simply by shopping from similar (and lesser known) brands.

For that reason, we’ve rounded up our favorite boutiques and stores like Reformation that still check all of these boxes, but at a much more wallet-friendly price.  We’ve also selected some of their best dresses, accessories, and products to upgrade your closet–just as if you’ve had a shopping spree at Reformation!

7 Stores To Find That Reformation Aesthetic (For Much Cheaper!)

& Other Stories

& Other Stories is another new, fun, and sustainable fashion brand that is a Reformation alternative to shop. Through their feminine clothing pieces and ethical business practices, they believe that each of their clothing pieces “tells a story,” hence the memorable brand name.

Their cosmopolitan designs are produced in ateliers in Sweden, Paris, and Los Angeles.  Just by looking at their dresses, tops, and accessories, you can see their worldwide influence.

On top of this, their sustainability efforts are evident from their careful choice of eco-friendly and biodegradable materials to recycling initiatives across their business. They work hard to maintain their circular fashion production and are aiming to have their entire product line and packaging be 100% recyclable by 2030.

Why We Love Them:  All of their clothing items–especially their dresses–are made in small batches and the designs are clearly unique to their brand!

Quince is a new sustainable fashion brand that offers similar dress styles and clothing as Reformation, but at almost half the price.  Their headquarters are located in San Francisco, California, and all products are made locally with recycled items.  You can shop from casual clothing favorites to wear every day–such as denim, linen pants, and luxurious basics–or their newly created activewear line, filled with top-selling, eco-friendly leggings (with pockets!).  Just like Reformation, Quince sells stylish dresses that can be worn casually or for a dressed-up evening.

Why We Love Them: All of their clothes are made sustainably, at an affordable price range, and they have quality basics. Plus, all of their packaging is 100% recyclable.

Another cult favorite brand, Parade, is also sustainable and reasonably priced. Why We Love Them:  Their fabrics are sustainable, and they often have bundle sales to buy a little extra for yourself or a friend!

Everlane

As a clothing brand, Everlane checks a lot of the same boxes as Reformation: they were founded around the same time and their minimalist cuts and clothing designs are very similar.  Everlane also shares its ethical business practices by sourcing each of its production factories carefully, maintaining fair wages, and providing customers with transparent pricing.  They are not 100% sustainable, but continue to use organic materials throughout their clothing line, along with slow-fashion production practices.  They are also similar to Reformation in that they offer a wide variety of clothing options ranging from dresses and denim to workwear and bags.

Why We Love Them:  Simple: their minimalist designs, transparent pricing, and how they focus on making quality, durable clothing.

Sanctuary Clothing

Sanctuary Clothing was founded by Ken and Deb Polanco.  They both have career backgrounds in the fashion industry as a result of living and working in fashion-centric cities, such as Los Angeles and New York.  As a couple, they made their dream come true by starting Sanctuary Clothing. Their floral dresses, swimwear, denim, and other clothing essentials resemble Reformation, but with their own special touch.

With regards to creating a more sustainable fashion brand, they choose to be kinder to nature by reducing the use of chemicals and dyes and prioritizing eco-friendly materials throughout their collections.  Also, they are members of the Better Cotton Initiative, which vouches for better and ethical quality cotton production in over 21 countries.

Why We Love Them:  Their profits give back to charitable women’s organizations and their dresses come at an affordable price!

Don't get us wrong, at Swift Wellness, we are big fans of Reformation!  Personally, their dress collection and minimalist styling are what I love most.  However, fashion and luxurious clothing should not have to be so costly, but rather accessible and inclusive.  Plus, discovering more shops and designers is never a bad idea!
